November 2016 - Newsletter

With the threat of nasty winter weather, not one Corvette was driven to the November dinner at the Steak n Brew in Turin. The 25 members who attended though were treated to some of the best food and service around. Paul, our host, knows how to entertain his guests with flair. His table-side cooking is exceptional.

We all had a great time and can’t wait to go there again!

The recipients of this year’s charitable donations have been chosen:

Hospice of Jefferson County

Volunteer Transportation Center

Urban Mission Food Pantry

1000 Islands River Santa Festival

Lewis County Humane Society

Kingston Military Family Resource Center

Ron and I had the privilege of presenting the check to the KMFRC on a beautiful fall day. The director of the center treated us to a tour of their facilities. What a great place! They do wonderful work there, and we feel they were a deserving choice. They even had a professional photographer on hand for the photo session.

Please note the classy yellow Vette in the center.

Our Club Christmas party will be held at the Chez Heron in Chaumont, on Wednesday, December 7^th. The Chez Heron is the new private party facility next door to the Blue Heron. The menu will be a buffet of turkey with all the trimmings. The contact person is

Again this year we will have the bring-a-gift, get-a-gift exchange. Participation is voluntary.

The premise is simple: if you bring a gift, you will receive a gift. Please adhere to the $25.00 spending limit and one gift per couple or single person.
