April 2014 - Newsletter

Well, Folks, if you weren’t present at the Wise Guys in Chaumont this past Wednesday, you missed out on some fantastic food and service.

Even the serving dishes were unusual and made for a unique presentation.  The private dining room was tastefully decorated and provided a very nice dining experience.  I think this may become a permanent addition to our repertoire.

In addition to the fine food, we had two C-7s in attendance.  Joe Coniglio & Helen Reno drove their Crystal Red Coupe, and Bill & Melodee Doull brought their Laguna Blue Convertible.

My dear husband, and Club Photographer, Ron, apparently was so excited about seeing and photographing the C-7s on the street, he completely forgot to take pictures of the 26 people inside the restaurant.  So if you happen to go to the Club website looking for the meeting photos, you’ll find only pictures of red and blue C-7s.

The trip to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, has been postponed until possibly September.

Tom Cheney will be the contact person for Laps n Lunch at the Glen, on Saturday, May 17th.   He will send out the details by email.

The Tilted Kilt will be holding cruise-ins on Monday evenings again this year.

We hope to have more ice cream cruises this season.  If you have any suggestions, please let one of the officers know, and we’ll get something out to the members.

We had considered Jeb’s in Lowville for our Wednesday, May 21st, meeting, per popular request, but they did not meet our requirements.  Therefore, we have changed the venue to the Steak n Brew in Turin.  We will be able to order from the menu and receive separate checks.  The one restriction is that everyone will receive the same side dishes: twice-baked potato and vegetable.  Social hour is at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00.  Betsy Jacobs is the contact.  Bjacobs002@twcny.rr.com

Don’t forget to pay your dues!  Your $20.00 is due by May 31st.  Remit to Joe Coniglio,

415 Harris Drive, Watertown, NY 13601.
