This mild stretch of weather we’ve been experiencing probably won’t last much longer. This is the North Country! You’re supposed to have snow during the winter!

However, it was another mild evening for our dinner meeting at Pete’s. We could have almost driven our Vettes! The staff at Pete’s did a great job – the food and service were very good.

The lucky winners of the “early bird” drawing for a $25.00 restaurant gift certificate were Ron

and Addie Netto. Congratulations!

During the meeting, Tom again shared with us a “passion for Corvettes” story. This one was about Kevin MacKay, who has gained renown as a Corvette restorer. You might want to check him out at: corvetterepair.com

If you are planning to participate in the bus trip to Turning Stone Casino on March 11^th, please contact Tom. Sign-ups have been a little slower than last year.

We have confirmed reservations at the track at Watkins Glen on Sunday, May 21^st. Lunch reservations have been made at Seneca Harbor Station in downtown Watkins Glen. Wendy Hall, of the Capital Corvette Club of Ottawa, will be planning a scenic route from the Thruway to the Glen. She will also be making reservations for dinner Sunday evening at a restaurant near Syracuse. All the details will be sent out closer to the date. Betsy Jacobs is the contact person.

Wayne Harris tells us there will be a classic car auction at the Jefferson County Fair this year. He will keep us informed as details become available.

The March dinner meeting will be a pizza party on Wednesday, March 22^nd at Art’s Jug. The cost is $12.00 per person, including tax & tip, and includes pizza, antipasto, and soft drinks.
