February 2016 - Newsletter
In spite of the cold, nasty weather, 34 brave members enjoyed the excellent pizza and antipasto at Art’s Jug. I don’t think anyone went away hungry!
Winners of the “early bird” drawing of a $25.00
restaurant gift certificate were Steve Dion and
Sylvia Vander Voet. As luck would have it, Sylvia volunteered to draw the name and then proceeded to draw her own! Some pundit suggested she go right out and buy a lottery ticket!
Tom & Kathy each modelled the Corvette jacket donated by Jim Lucas, to be auctioned off at a later date. Tom says it’s a size 2X, but it might run a little small.
There’s still room on the second bus to Turning Stone Casino on March 19th. Contact Tom if you are interested.
April 2016 is the 20th anniversary of our club.
To celebrate, Tom suggested we cruise to the Soda Fountain in Remsen on a Saturday in April or May. We also welcome any other suggestions.
You might be interested in a program on Velocity channel, Thursday, March 3rd, at , about raising the Corvettes at the Museum.
We have a tentative date of June 18th for our annual outing to Watkins Glen. Since we join with the Capital Corvette Club of Ottawa for this event, we await their Executive Committee’s approval. We’ll keep you posted.
Kris Allen of CREG Systems will try to have the website up and running again in two weeks.
He apologizes for the delay.
The venue for the March meeting has yet to be determined. We have approached the Savory Downtown, but have yet to reach an agreement with them. When finalized, I will send out an e-mail with the details.
Your annual dues of $20.00 are now payable.
