January 2016 - Newsletter

What a great turnout we had for the dinner meeting at Maggie’s! If not for a few last minute cancellations, we would have had over 40 members present. Not bad for a January in the North Country!

I think I can speak for everyone present, that we all had a fun night. Our waitresses were very efficient and the food was good.

New Members:

Our 9^th annual Casino Bus Trip is scheduled for Saturday, March, 19^th. A flyer with all the details will be attached to this newsletter. We really need everyone’s help in making this a successful event. This is our major fund-raiser for the year, and enables us to donate to local charities in the fall.

Did you see the great picture of members Fred Sovie and Sharon Delosh in the Watertown Daily Times? Our esteemed President, Mr. Cheney, was a little “miffed” because they didn’t take the opportunity to mention they belonged to the NNY Corvette Club!

R..I..G..H..T….!

Jim Lucas has donated a Corvette jacket to the club to be raffled off at a future meeting. Thank you, Jim! It will be on display at next month’s meeting.

Mike and Linda Akin of Akins Archery, have generously offered to donate a limited edition bow, with the club’s name engraved on it, to be raffled off. The details have yet to be worked out, but we’ll let you know!

Our February dinner meeting will be a pizza party at Art’s Jug, on Wednesday, February 24^th. Tom Cheney is the contact person.
