I hope everyone is enjoying this summer-like weather! We’re getting requests for ice cream cruises, and we will be organizing a few very soon.
On the night of our dinner meeting, for the most
part, the rain held off, and we had a very pleasant night on the
The turnout was very good – 44. Everyone seemed to enjoy the delicious food, and the private dining room was set up nicely for us.
During the meeting, members Neil and Darlene Walroth, conducted a raffle to benefit the scholarship fund in memory of their daughter. Art & Ula Alton won a gift certificate to the Tilted Kilt, and Darren Smith won two rounds of golf at Highland Meadows. Best of all, $155.00 was raised for the charity.
In conjunction with that, the Walroths are holding a fundraiser on Saturday, June 4th, at the Brownville American Legion, as part of the General Brown Weekend. They have invited club members to come with their Vettes to show their support.

Our 20th Anniversary celebration was a huge success! We had 26 Corvettes show up at Davidsons’. About half of those enjoyed the scenic cruise to Remsen, planned by Dave & Pauline. What a beautiful route! The consensus was that it would make a terrific fall cruise when the leaves have turned. I think we’ll plan on it. Two of our Canadian members, Chris Elliott & Isabella Vergara, won the beautiful hand-made Corvette sign crafted by Ron Jacobs. (Yes – my husband is very talented!)
We have been invited to participate in the Dairy Parade on June 3rd. Unlike the Armed Forces Day Parade, our club will be leading the parade, so plan to line-up in front of the high school at for a start of . Please don’t be discouraged by the poor experience at the Armed Forces parade. The Dairy Parade organizers need our Vettes to transport the parade dignitaries and dairy princess and her court. Please let Tom know if you are willing to participate. Thank you.
Details have gone out by email in regard to the trip to Watkins Glen on June 18th. Please RSVP to Betsy Jacobs, if you plan to attend this event. Bjacobs002@twcny.rr.com
A night at the Evans Mills Speedway will be on the agenda again this summer, with a stop for ice cream afterwards.
Our June dinner meeting will be held at the Admiral’s
We can order from the menu and receive separate checks. I will be emailing the details shortly.
